Harry Davis & Company, Pittsburgh, PA, will be hosting a major 3-day auction of the production equipment of the Nestlé nutritional products facility in St. Louis Park, MN. The sale is scheduled for August 13 through 15 at the large Nestlé plant in suburban Minneapolis. In addition to the live on-site auction, simultaneous online Internet bidding will also be offered.
 
Highlights of the auction include four FMC rotational batch retorts with automatic loading and unloading. These systems were installed in 2007. Also featured in the sale are thirty-two stainless steel tanks and processors, eight homogenizers, four pasteurization systems, two aseptic processing lines, five CIP systems and dry mixing operations. Thousands of feet of stainless steel pipe, and hundreds of stainless steel valves and pumps are included on the processing side of the facility.
 
Twelve filling lines to be sold include a new Sidel Simonazzi bottle filling line, four Tetra Pak Brik Aseptic fillers, four Bartelt pouch fillers, form, fill and seal lines and a can filler. A large array of additional packaging and support equipment will also be offered.
 
An extensive inventory of general plant and material handling equipment comprise another major component of the auction. Hundreds of pallet rack sections, over twenty forklifts, five laboratories, offices and plant fixtures round out the sale.
